TV-D1 in 90-degree heat.

TV-D1 UPF 50+ Sports Warm-Up Hoodie · August 2, 2026 · Kootenai National Forest area outside Eureka, Montana

The name above reflects the current store listing. This session did not test or verify UV protection.

The session, in one frame

Observed

The hoodie wicked moisture while allowing airflow, and the pattern read well against dry grass and the tree line in this session.

Limitation

This was not a controlled concealment test. Viewing distances were not recorded, other terrain was not tested, and UV protection was not verified.

Next test

A controlled cross-terrain comparison with recorded distance, light, terrain, and repeat observations remains a candidate, not a scheduled test.

DurationApproximately 1 hour

Method

Qualitative wear observation during a range session. Cody wore the hoodie and made observations about moisture handling, airflow, sleeve fit, and how the pattern read against dry grass and a tree line. No formal observer protocol or viewing distances were supplied for this record.

August 2 Observations

Cody observed moisture wicking while the fabric allowed airflow and judged the hoodie suitable as a hot-weather combat-top-style layer. He judged the TV-D1 pattern to work well against the dry grass and tree line present.

The arms felt snug; Cody considers whether that is positive or negative a matter of user preference.

Separate Prior-Use Note

This note is not part of the August 2 method or result. Cody reports wearing the hoodie with a plate carrier on earlier occasions and considers it suitable for that use. Dates, conditions, and duration from those earlier occasions were not supplied.

What Changed

No product change or revision decision was supplied from this session.

Limitations

No specific functional failure was reported for the August 2 session. Viewing distances and a formal observer protocol were not recorded, and only the dry-grass/tree-line setting was assessed.

Cody expects the pattern would be less suitable in exceptionally rocky or overly green areas, but those settings were not tested and that expectation is not an observed result.

UPF 50+ is part of the current product designation. This session observed moisture handling, airflow, fit, and pattern behavior only; it did not independently test or verify UV protection.
